General Box Office Information
Tickets: All seats are reserved seating.
Tickets may be purchased starting one hour prior to curtain at the Potter Hall Theatre Box Office.
Tickets purchased through the website are assessed a $2.50 per ticket processing fee, due to our online ticketing vendor. If ordering online, this fee is not included in your total ticket order price. This processing fee is waived if tickets are ordered at the Potter Hall Box Office or the Spratt Hall Box Office.
There is also a 8.45% sales tax assessed on all tickets sales.
All Ticket sales are final, no refunds.
Mobile Tickets: In order to access your tickets via your mobile phone, you’ll need to visit the App Store (iPhone) or the Marketplace (Android) and download the Walletini app and create a free account using the same email address and mobile phone number you used when making your ticket purchase. A link to this app will be provided in an email confirming your purchase if this method of delivery is chosen during your purchase.
Exchanges: We gladly exchange individual tickets to a different performance of the same play, but there are no refunds. Some ticket upgrades may involve an additional cost. To make an exchange, simply call the Potter Theatre Box Office at (816) 271-4100 during regularly scheduled business hours and speak to one of our ticket agents.
Promotional Offers: No ticket refunds or exchanges on promotional offers.
Performance Times: Curtain times are 7:30 p.m. for all evening performances and 2:00 p.m. for all matinee performances.
The house and seating opens half hour prior to performance.
Seating: All performances start promptly and are reserved seating. As a courtesy to other patrons, latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the house manager at an appropriate break in the action on stage. For some events, latecomers may be asked to sit in at the rear of the theatre until intermission. No refunds will be made for latecomers. Patrons arriving more than 15 minutes after curtain may not be seated.
House Rules and Policies: Every person admitted must have a ticket. No "babes in arms" or children in laps are permitted. Please turn off all electronic devices when you enter the theatre. The use of cameras and/or recording devices is strictly prohibited. Please do not text in the theatre, as it is disruptive to other patrons, as well as interferes with our sound system.
Parking: There is parking available in front of Potter Hall. If you need more information, please contact our box office agent at (816) 271-4100.
Children: Please, no children under five, unless noted on the specific show that is for all ages. Call the ticket office or see the website (http://www.westernplayhouse.com) for age appropriateness.
Western Playhouse is dedicated to providing an environment that is safe and accessible for patrons with a wide variety of abilities and disabilities. The following information is provided for your convenience and is related specifically to events held in the Potter Theatre.
There are a limited number of accessible parking spaces located on the north side of Potter Hall that are specifically reserved for people with disabilities. To access this parking area, take the driveway on the north side of Potter Hall.
From the accessible parking area, there is an accessible route which leads from the Northeast corner of the building all the way through to the auditorium. People using this parking area, should enter the building through the automatic door on the north side of the building then turn left and follow the short hallway until it intersects with the longer hallway. Then turn right and follow this hallway all the way through the building until you reach the auditorium at the west end of the building.
There are accessible restrooms available on the ground floor of Potter Hall near the east end of the building.
If you are a person with mobility impairment, the most accessible seating location is behind the last row of seats at the back of the auditorium. There are other places throughout the theatre to park a wheelchair or scooter but it should be noted that the only location within the theatre that does not have sloped floor is at the back of the auditorium. Contact the box office for availability of these seats.
Assistive Listening Equipment
The auditorium is wired for the use of assistive listening equipment. If you have a hearing impairment and would like to utilize this equipment, please contact an usher or the House Manager.
Service animals accompanying individuals with disabilities are welcome in all areas of campus that are open to the public.
Sign Language Interperter Service
If you need sign language interpreting services, please contact the Office of Disability Services at (816) 271-4330 or e-mail your request to email@example.com. Requests for sign language interpreters must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Additional notice may be required for weekend performances and during the summer months.
